Fogadelphia: How Global Warming Will Make Instagram Even More Captivating
Seriously though, this is Global Warming, right?
Despite the somewhat magical effect its seem to have had over Philadelphia and, more pointedly, over Philadelphians’ Instagram feeds (myself included,) this mass of dense warm fog that’s hung over the city the past few days has me wondering if we’ve all just given up on connecting the dots and given in to the odd beauty of this pre-Day After Tomorrow world?
We’ve all seemed to mitigate Climate Change to likes of some unpleasant art opening that we HAVE to go to for a bit because it’s this friend of friend from school, but it’s right around the corner from this bar you like that we’ll probably end up at so, whatever. Global Warming’s inevitability and our ‘helplessness’ to stop it have seemed to pacify too many people. Then again, I suppose it is human nature to wait until the last possible moment to change things, so perhaps after a few more Sandys and Katrinas we’ll begin to give a damn. For now, however, we can watch its oddness unfold on Instagram.
global warming? shut up
Great point, Poop.
No opinions on whether or not this is the direct result of climate change. Sure does make for some awesome images, nonetheless!!
