SOOOOOO stoked about this y’all, and I think you will be too. During last night’s Ignite Philly at Johnny Brenda’s, it was announced that Little Berlin is teaming up with the Emerald St Urban Farm for an amazing amazing project. Here’s their plan:
“Viking Mill, Little Berlin and Emerald St Urban Farm aim to create a collaborative community creative art space landscaped with edible foods on a vacant lot in East Kensington, Philadelphia.
In addition to transforming an unused lot into a beautiful place it will serve as a resource for community events, fleas markets and ‘pick your own’ harvests of fresh produce. Most importantly it will be a positive space that will bring the neighborhood together through art and food!”
Sounds awesome, right? Well they need your help. Little Berlin and ESUF have set a goal to raise $5,000 for the project by April 10, 2011. You can visit their Kick Starter page to make a pledge. A pledge of $100 will get you a blueberry pie hand-delivered to your door, but you can pledge as little as a dollar too. It all helps.
Learn more about the project on the ESUF blog.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this.
