Stalactite Bombing the Orange Line

The constantly brilliant Ms. Kristin Smith came up with this fantastic idea to put stalactite installations up at a couple of the entrances to the Broad street line, mirroring the actual stalactitic growths throughout the Broad street concourse (photo of one of the real stalactites later in the post.) With Jackie Barry in toe (you remember her, right?), Kristin and I hit the Broad street line at around 2pm yesterday. And while we did go back a few hours later to find only the one at Spruce street still up, I’ve got  a ton of photos for those of you that missed it!! CLICK—>

Love the idea and the enthusiasm, my only two cents are that these are too obstructive and may cause issues for people with disabilities.

It would be really cool to have tiny bright orange stalactites along the concourse, or scattered amongst the real ones (which would also be more likely to remain up.)

Basically, looking forward to round two!
