Saw this sticker on N. 3rd street in Northern Liberties, although I’m sure they’re all over the place now.
I wonder it Mayor Nutter’s ever read this blog? God knows I’ve tried to show him… All Occupy Philly shit aside though, I like Nutter, a lot. What do y’all think?
I’m sympathetic to the Occupy movement but I love Mayor Nutter. He has made great strides for small businesses, he acted swiftly in response to flash mobs and it seemed to work, he supports green initiatives, he’s lowered the crime rate, and he tried his damndest to get the Boy Scouts to evicted from its city-owned headquarters which they occupy rent free on the grounds that they are homophobes. I also loved that he declared all shelters accept pets during the hurricane.
He hasn’t been perfect, but considering the alternatives (i.e. clowns) and considering how he’s been hamstrung by the national economic disaster and the dual disgraces at the federal and state governmental levels, he’s doing a lot of good.
