It’s super rare you get to watch a legend in action, but last week I got the opportunity to do just that, photographing Joe Boruchow as he finished his BIGGEST installation/mural yet on 33rd street (between Girard and Oxford) in Strawberry Mansion!
An incredible tribute to the history of the communities surrounding the mural, including an homage to American jazz saxophonist and composer, and perhaps one of the neighborhood’s most iconic figures, John Coltrane (below,) Joe’s mural was created with Mural Arts… Absolutely LOVE it, go walk/bike over and check it out in all its glory yourself!
