On June 14th, Philly’s officially unofficial museum of street art debuted an iconic show of wheatpaste art. The show is place at Tattooed Mom (2nd Floor), and it features the work of nearly 200 local and international artists. In fact, artists from some 15 countries submitted work. And local street artist Doomed Future worked with a small cohort of Philly artists to install (see a video of that installation on Instagram here).
For decades now, the second floor of South Street’s Tattooed Mom has been a haven for street artists. But for this exhibition, the walls were nearly completely whited out to make room for all the new work.
The exhibition, titled Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue, will be on view…well, indefinitely. The art now lives on the walls–and only more work will be added over time. So be sure to see it soon and come back often!
