Please excuse me while my dreams come true…

Y’ALL! The Philadelphia Federal Credit Union and Mural Arts are asking for Philadelphians to vote for their favorite of 3 proposed mural designs. The winning design will be painted in Fishtown/East Kensington. And, while I think all 3 are lovely, I have to ask you to take 3 seconds and vote for my favorite: Jeff Kilpatrick and Brad Carney’s mural, which they go on to describe as such…

“A neighborhood is made of generations of families working and playing in the streets. This mural depicts images of local artists, craftsmen, and community members from our past and present. Each individual represents a story and a history. Sculptors, painters, and fabricators of all kinds have found Fishtown and East Kensington a place to call home.”

Ok, and yes, I’m depicted in the mural. So this is a slightly selfish ask, but I ask none the less. It’d mean a ton to me, so thank you if you do vote…

Love that the Fresh Pretzel’s kid is in the mural! I was a fan of the short-lived strip, and I own Jeff’s ink originals from the first three weeks.
