Finally got a chance to see and photograph this new temporary mural from Philly-based artist and muralist Nilé Livingston that celebrates one of the U.S. Women’s National Team players as they go for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup! The mural is located on Front street right off Girard avenue in Fishtown and was created with support from Mural Arts Philadelphia.

Nilé’s mural is to Carli Lloyd, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup champion, two-time FIFA Player of the Year, and a three-time Olympian. [Source: Wikipedia] And according to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team’s website, Nilé’s is just one of 12 total murals created by women all around the United States, each honoring a different player or players.
