Future Phase of the Rail Park Gets Activated with Temporary Public Art Installation, “Moon Viewing Platform”
Finally got a chance to check out the temporary installation Moon Viewing Platform by lead artists Nadia Hironaka, Matthew Suib, and Eugene Lew, created with support from Mural Arts Philadelphia.
Located at 465 North 18th street, the project includes building-sized nighttime video projections featuring an episodic series of short films and a garden/installation that references the karesansui (Japanese dry landscape garden) in what will eventually be the future Phase III of the Rail Park… This Sunday (October 20) is actually the last day to see this brilliant piece of public art, so don’t miss it if you can!
