Amberella Pastes “Fortunate” Series Around Philly For the New Year

New wheatpastes today from Philly/LA-based artist Amberella! I asked Amber to tell us a bit more about the series and these latest pastes:
“The series is called Fortunate which I began in 2017. Initially the fortunes spoke to mental health. As the new year approaches I love to reflect upon what I’m leaving behind and what I’m bringing forward into the new year. What worked and what didn’t. What I learned and where I could grow more. Where will I place my energy this upcoming year? These fortunes are reminders for oneself, including some of the fortunes that are speaking about love and relationships. For example, ‘I need you,’ because you know me. I’m always making art aligned with the real time of what my heart is singing or aching.”

The locations for the wheatpastes in this post are as follows (locations listed in the order the photos appear in this post):
- “Soon you will let that shit go” is at Broad and Fitzwater Streets
- “I need you” is on Chestnut Street between 20th and 21st Streets
- “You are not too much” is on Pine Street at Broad Street
- “What is meant for you will not pass you by” is at Broad and Wharton Streets
