New South Street Mural Honors Philadelphia Skateboarding Legend, Roger Browne

Love this new mural on Nocturnal Skateshop, located at 5th and Kater Streets off South Street!

Created by Philly-based artist Jim Houser, the artwork pays homage to one of the founders of Philadelphia skateboarding, Roger Browne! The mural was created in partnership with Nocturnal and Mural Arts Philadelphia.

“Roger Browne was the first person I ever saw in real life be incredible on a skateboard–I was 11 years old,” Jim wrote on his Instagram about the mural. “I wanted to say thank you, so I painted his portrait. It was awesome to work with Roger on this. Forever stoked!”
