“The Next Time You Raise A Hand to Me…” Ishknits Installs New Yarnbomb

LOVE this!
New yarnbomb today on 11th street at Callowhill by Philly’s own Ishknits. Inspired by a Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones) quote, Ishknits’ new installation reads: “The next time you raise a hand to me will be the last time you have hands.”
Ishknits has done a lot of incredible work lately around abuse, including this piece for Truth To Power and these pieces for Philadelphia, Goddamn. She’s even recently written an article for WHYY’s Newsworks about how the lack of justice compounds the pain and shame of abuse.
