Saint Nick: Street Artist Pays Tribute to Nick Foles Around Philly

February 7, 2018

Absolutely LOVE these new wheatpastes that popped up around town last night by Philly-based street artist Nero. The new work pays homage to Nick Foles by making him the saint that he is (metaphorically speaking, of course) after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to our first-ever Super Bowl victory. Philly Special, and all!

Nero installed a number of life-sized and miniature wheatpastes featuring St. Nick all around Center City, including the two spots in this post at Juniper and Drury streets in the Gayborhood (above) and on Sansom street between 19th and 20th streets in Rittenhouse Square (below.)

And this is in addition to the new Eagles murals created by Philly writers and muralists around Philadelphia that I posted about yesterday. Seems the whole city is excited about The Birds and our historic win this week!
