Streets Dept Podcast – SN 3, EP 11: Ginger Rudolph and Curating for the Public Space
Welcome back to the Streets Dept Podcast, y’all. The Streets Dept Podcast is one-on-one interview podcast where I, your host Conrad Benner, sit down with the creative minds shaping the world around us, from Philadelphia and beyond. Creative minds like street artists, poets, activists, politicians, small business owners, and community organizers.
Today, we’ll be chatting with Ginger Rudolph! Ginger is a journalist, editor, curator, and founder of HAHAMAG.com (which is an acronym for “High on Art, Heavy on Antics”), an arts magazine that brings the world’s most inspiring contemporary art to a global audience.
Over the last several years, Ginger has worked on a series of projects bringing art to Philly’s public space, including those created by the HAHAxParadigm public arts project, of which she is the co-founder. As well as co-curating the #SisterlyLove Project with me, a project created with the support of Live Nation and Visit Philadelphia, which worked with 10 Philly artists to honor 20 change-making women from Philadelphia with temporary street art installations around the city.
Check out my conversation with Ginger Rudolph below, or on any major podcast streaming platform by searching “Streets Dept Podcast”!
